Maria's Self-Defence for Women

Attacks against women by known and unknown assailants seem to be getting worse. But there are things we can do - you can do.

Maria MacCallum's Self-Defence for Women is about awareness, being sensible, confidence, and knowing some basic moves. These moves are really simple - anyone can do them - but they do require practise. You can practise on anyone but these tactics are effective against someone much bigger and stronger than you.

Maria MacCallum is a black sash in Lau Gar Kung Fu. She's taken elements of Kung Fu and adapted them for easy-to-learn self-defence for women and girls.
