رواية مدينة العتمة هي ليست برواية أدب سجون فأبث فيها حزني وسخطي على عذاب.
ولا هي سياسية فتتجلى أمامي حقائق غابت .
بل هي نحن ..بكل مافيه..بواقعيتنا..بإنغماسنا في الرضا بذلك الخنوع حتى ظننا أنَّ الأكل والشرب والمشي جوار الحائط حتى كدنا هدمه والمضي بداخلهِ هو الحياة

3- ما بين رغبتى فى إنهاء الرواية وبين ثقلها على نفسى بشدة .. لم أعلم هل أحببتها أم لم أفعل ... لكنها بالتأكيد تركت أثرا غريبا فى نفسى لم تفعله رواية من قبلها .
