אביטל

בעמק יזרעאל, סמוך למרגלותיו של הר הגלבוע היפהפה, שוכן מושב אביטל. אוכלוסיית אביטל מונה כ-600 תושבים והקהילה המקומית מנהלת אורח חיים המחבר בין דתיים, מסורתיים וחילונים. הנוף המקסים המקיף את המקום, משרה על מושב אביטל אווירה תמידית של ארץ ישראל הישנה והטובה. התושבים הראשונים, אשר היו עולים מטורקיה ופרס, עלו על הקרקע בשנת 1953. המושב משתייך ליישובי חבל תענך. חבל אשר גרים בו כיום כ-6,000 תושבים. כל יישובי החבל, כמו גם מושב אביטל, שייכים למועצה האזורית גלבוע. המושב ממוקם בסמוך למרכזי תעסוקה מרכזיים ובפני התושבים פתוחות אופציות פרנסה מגוונות. ילדי המקום משתלבים במערכת החינוך הקהילתית ובמוסדות החינוך הפורמאליים הפועלים במסגרת המועצה האזורית גלבוע. כמו כן, באביטל פועל בית ספר יסודי ממלכתי-דתי.
