عالم دين ووزير أوقاف مصري سابق. يعد من أشهر مفسري معاني القرآن الكريم في العصر الحديث؛
حيث عمل على تفسير القرآن الكريم بطرق مبسطة وعامية مما جعله يستطيع الوصول لشريحة أكبر من المسلمين في جميع أنحاء العالم العربي،
لقبه البعض بإمام الدعاة.
