اللغة العربية لغةٌ جميلةٌ - كغيرها من لغات العالم - لها نظامٌ خاصٌ بها، وهي لغةٌ فُصحى ونجح الشعراء قديماً - قبل نشأة علم النّحو- بِضبط الكلمات، وتَشكيلها، وتصريفها تصريفاً صحيحاً. علم النحو من علوم اللغة العربية المشهورة، والذي يندرج منه ما يُسمّى بالإعراب، ونقصد بالإعراب لغةً هو التّوضيح والبيان، وأمّا اصطلاحاً هو ضبط أواخر الكلمات، وسنتعرّف معاً كيف نقوم بإعراب الكلمات بطريقة سهلة وكيف نتعلّم الإعراب بالشّكل الصّحيح

علامات الإعراب هناك أربع حركات أو علامات أساسية في علم الإعراب وهي: استخدام الضّمة في حالة الرفع، والفتحة في حالة النصب، والكسرة في حالة الجر، والسكون في الجزم، وقبل وضع العلامات بطريقة سليمة لا بدّ من معرفة أقسام الكلمة. أقسام الكلمة تقسم الكلمة في اللغة العربية إلى ثلاثة أقسام وهي كما يلي: اسم: ونَقصد بالاسم مثل أسماء العلم، والأسماء الصريحة مثل: السّماء، والماء، والشّمس، وغيرها. فعل: هناك ثلاثة أفعال رئيسيّة حسب حالة الفعل وهي: الفعل الماضي أي الذي حدث في الزمن الماضي مثل ذهبَ، قامَ، كتبَ، والفعل المضارع وهو الذي يحدث الآن مثل يكتبُ، يقرأُ، يدرسُ، وفعل الأمر وهو الذي يحمل صفة الأمر مثل اكتبْ، اقرأْ، ادرسْ. حرف: كحروف الجر مثل مِن، إلى، عَن، في...، وحروف النّصب مثل: أن، لن، كي...، وحروف الجزم مثل: لمْ، لا النّاهية ولام الأمر...

الإعراب هو نظام وصفي لخواتم الكلمات العربية الفصحى، وهو خاص بالأسماء والأفعال المضارعة (عمومًا مع وجود الشواذ).
تكتب هذه الخواتم في النصوص العربية الملفوظة بالتمام، وعلى نحو بارز في القرآن، وتُلْفَظ عند قراءة النصوص الرسمية على الملأ، وتنعدم في كافة اللهجات العامية. وحتّى في العربية الفصحى، لا تلفظ هذه الخواتم في حالة الوقف، أي عندما تتواجد الكلمة في نهاية الجملة، وفقًا لقواعد محددة في اللغة العربية. (خصوصًا في الأسماء المنوّنة، أي المختومة بالتنوين، حيث تسقط لفظة النون مع نهاية الجملة أو بيت الشعر، بينما قد تختفي الحركة أو تبقى وفقًا لمتطلبات القافية).
