الجامع الصغير للشيباني

ونقرأ في مقدمة (الجامع الصغير) الّذي شرحه اللّكنوي، هذه الكلمات: "وبعدُ، فإنّ محمد بن الحسن رحمه الله، وضع كتاباً في الفقه، وسمّاه الجامع الصّغير، قد جمع فيه أربعين كتاباً من كتب الفقه، ولم يُبوّب الأبواب لكلّ كتابٍ منها، كما بوّب كتب المبسوط، ثمّ إنّ القاضي الإمام أبا طاهر الدّباس بوّبه ورتّبه؛ ليسهل على المتعلّمين حفظه ودراسته، ثمّ إنّ الفقيه أحمد بن عبد الله بن محمود تلميذه كتبه عنه ببغداد في داره، وقرأه عليه، في شهور سنة اثنين وعشرين وثلاث مائة. والله أعلم".
