يروى أنه من كلام علي بن أبي طالب : (كتاب الله فيه خبر ما قبلكم، ونبأ ما بعدكم، وحكم ما بينكم، هو الفصل ليس بالهزل) أي: كله حق، في أخباره وفي أحكامه كما قال تبارك وتعالى: وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًا وَعَدْلًا [الأنعام:115]، أي: في أخباره، فليس فيه خبر كاذب، وَعَدْلًا في أحكامه، فليس فيه حكم جائر. قال: (هو الفصل ليس بالهزل، من تركه من جبار قصمه الله)، يعني: الجبابرة الذين يتمردون على دين الله وشرعه يمد الله لهم ثم يأخذهم أخذ عزيز مقتدر. (ومن ابتغى الهدى في غيره أضله الله) أي: الذي يريد الهدى من عند روسيا، ويريد منهجاً شيوعياً هادياً للبشرية، والذي يريد الهدى من عند أمريكا من نظرياتها وفلسفاتها، أضله الله. قال: (وهو حبل الله المتين، وهو الذكر الحكيم، وهو الصراط المستقيم)، فمن استمسك به لا ينقطع به أبداً، فالقرآن كما جاء في بعض الأحاديث: (حبل طرفه بيدك، وآخره عند الله تبارك وتعالى)، إذا استمسكت به رضي الله عنك، وأدخلك جنته. وهو الذكر الحكيم، وهو الصراط المستقيم، فمن سار عليه كان على الصراط المستقيم، ولم يذهب يميناً ولا شمالاً حتى يصل إلى جنة الله تبارك وتعالى. قوله: (هو الفصل ليس بالهزل) أي: أنه كلام لا هزل فيه بل هو جد كله. (لا يشبع منه العلماء، ولا يخلق على كثرة الرد، ولا تنقضي عجائبه، لم تنته الجن إذ سمعته حتى قالوا: (إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا * يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ وَلَنْ نُشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا [الجن:1-2]، من قال به صدق، ومن عمل به أجر، ومن حكم به عدل، ومن دعا إليه هدي إلى صراط مستقيم). هذا وصف كتاب ربنا ممن فقه ما في هذا الكتاب، والغاية من إنزاله، وكيف يعمل به، ولذلك كان تقويم الرجال في ديننا ليس بأجسامهم، وطولهم وعرضهم، ولا بما يعرفون من أمور الدنيا، قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: (خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه) هكذا يقول المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم، ولو كان أمياً لا يقرأ ولا يكتب، ولكنه يحفظ كتاب الله، ويرتله آناء الليل وأطراف النهار ويعلمه الناس، فهذا هو خير الناس. ولذلك يقال يوم القيامة للذي كان يرتل القرآن بعد أن يدخل الجنة: (اصعد في درجات الجنة، ورتل كما كنت ترتل في الدنيا، فإن منزلتك عند آخر آية كنت ترتلها)، كم ترتل القرآن في الدنيا: مائة مرة، ألف مرة، مائة ألف مرة، بمقدار ما رتلته في الدنيا تصعد وتصعد وتصعد ثم تكون منزلتك عند آخر آية كنت ترتلها.
