* نبذة مختصرة:
ولد القارىء الشيخ محمد صدِّيق المنشاوي في 20 يناير 1920م ورحل عن دنيانا عام 1969, وما بين مولده ورحيله فقد نشأ في أسرة معظم قرائها من حملة القرآن , حيث حفظ القرآن الكريم وعمره أحد عشر عاماً على يد الشيخ محمد النمكي قبل أن يدرس أحكام التلاوةعلى يد الشيخ محمد أبوالعلا والشيخ محمد سعودي بالقاهرة وقد زار الشيخ المنشاوي الابن العديد من البلاد العربية والإسلامية وحظي بتكريم بعضها, حيث منحته اندونيسيا وساما رفيعاً في منتصف الخمسينات كما حصل على وسام الاستحقاق من الدرجة الثانية من سوريا عام 1965م, وزار باكستان والأردن وليبيا والجزائر والكويت والعراق والسعودية وقد ترك الشيخ أكثر من مائة وخمسين تسجيلاً بإذاعة جمهورية مصر العربية والإذاعات الأخرى , كما سجل ختمة قرآنية مرتلة كاملة تذاع بإذاعة القرآن الكريم وتلاوته.
