مؤسس الطريقة الخليلية

نسبه و نشأته:

ينتهى نسبه الشريف إلى الدوحة النبوية المباركة فهو من أبوين شريفين فوالده ينتهى نسبه إلى سيد الشهداء الإمام أبى عبد الله الحسين وينتهى نسب والدته إلى الإمام الحسن رضى الله عنهما.

وقد ولد فى قرية القضابة شمال الدلتا بجمهورية مصر العربية وانتقل مع والده إلى مدينة الزقازيق واستوطن معه فى أحد أحيائها المسمى بكفر النحال حيث يوجد الآن قبره الشريف بمسجده المسمى باسمه.

وقد نشأ محبا للطاعة فقد كان يصلى ويصوم وهو صغير لم يتجاوز السابعة من عمره ، وحفظ القرآن الكريم دون أن يتعلم الكتابة والقراءة ، ولعل إرادة السماء كانت تحدوه فى ذلك منذ نشأته لتعده لرسالته التى هيأته لها الأقدار لتكون أميته دليلا على ولايته حين كانت تتفجر ينابيع الحكمة من قلبه وينطق لسانه بكل عجيب من العلم ومعجز من البيان فسبحان الله وتعالى جلت قدرته علم الإنسان ما لم يعلم.

ولما توفى والده احترف تجارة الحبوب ، وقد غرست التجارة فى نفسه منذ البداية التوكل الحق على الله سبحانه وتعالي.

تصوفه:

أقبل أبو خليل على عبادة ربه بصدق وبعزم وتطلعت نفسه التى طوعها لحب الخير وفعله ابتغاء مرضاة الله تعالى إلى شيخ عارف بربه كى يوجهه إلى الغاية المثلى لمعرفة الحق سبحانه وتعالى فهداه جلت قدرته إلى أحد أتباع الإمام العارف بالله سيدى على البيومى الذى بايعه على عبادة الله وتقواه فجد واجتهد فى عبادة ربه وأقبل على ذكر الله تعالى بكل جارحة فيه واتخذ من صلاته وتسبيحاته وقيامه الليل فى عبادة ربه ساجدا وقائما يحذر الآخرة ويرجو رحمة ربه ، اتخذ من كل ذلك معراجا للصعود الروحى إلى خالقه لا تشغله شاغلة من عمل أو تقف دون تطلعاته الدينية هاجس نفس أو يقعد به عن السعى فى الأرض مزيد من تعبداته وخلواته الدينية ، فقد تولاه الله ورعاه بخير ما يرعى به الصالحين من عباده فالله وحده وجهته ، ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حبيبه وقدوته، وشيخه بإرشاداته وتوجيهاته رائده وإمامه، وذكر الله تعالى ورده ومنهاجه وشريعة الحق سبحانه ميزان فعله وقوله، ولقد كان زهده وورعه وتفانيه فى ذكر الله تعالى ركائز صاغ منها أبو خليل شخصيته الفذة وحياته الطاهرة الصادقة ينشد فى عبادته الحقيقة فى مشرقها مؤمنا بإحساس صادق بأنه خلق لها.

ولا غرو أن يصبح أبو خليل عند أستاذه المريد الأول بما ناله من عطايا عاليات وسمو فى الدرجات ، حتى إذا ما تخلف ذات ليلة على غير إرادة منه عن " حضرة الذكر " التى كان يقيمها شيخه للتابعين له ، لم يستطع الشيخ أن يعاقبه بمثل ما كان يعاقب به أيا من زملائه إذا ما تخلف عنها فقد أدارعلى ظهره مسبحته فلم تحدث أى ألم له على غير ما كان عليه الحال فى كل مرة مع غيره ، فأيقن الشيخ أنه أمام مريد فتحت له السماء أبوابها وانهالت عليه آلاؤها وبركاتها وحدثه قلبه بأنه سوف يكون من أتباع هذا المريد ، وقد صدق فيما بعد حديث قلبه وصار الشيخ من أتباع أبى خليل.
