هكذا عرف راديو أرضي بين محبّيه …راديو عربي يمثل صوت الشعب الحر ..يلامس الروح الشرقية في نفس كل شخص فخور بتراثه وأصالته العربية.
راديو لكل الأغاني العربية البديلة، تلك التي تحكي عن حالة نفسية، فكرية و روحية انسانية بحتة، سواء كانت حالة حب، عشق، غربة، حنين، وطن، ثورة أو غير ذلك. الموسيقى الكلاسيكية الشرقية والأخرى البديلة الحديثة ذات المغزى التي يقدمها الراديو, ترتاد نفوس متذوقي الموسيقى الراقية لتذهب بهم إلى عالم المجال الروحي حيث لا وجود لحدود مادية أو معنوية أو جغرافية..فتصبح الموسيقى حضناً دافئاً يتسع لجميع لاجئيها.
بدأت فكرة إنشاء الراديو من قبل مجموعة من الشباب المهتمين بالفن الملتزم وأصوله. وانطلاقاً من مبدأ ترسيخ التراث و دمجه مع الحداثة المعاصرة في نفوس الجيل الصاعد و دعم المواهب العربية الملتزمة المعاصرة.
حرص فريق عمل الراديو على ارضاء مختلف الأذواق الموسيقية فكانت الموسيقى العربية البديلة المعاصرة ذات النصيب الأكبر في المجموعة التي انفرد راديو أرضي بتقديمها. حيث كان من الضروري إيصال هذا النوع من الموسيقى الذي لم يظهر إلا حديثا لأصحاب الذوق الفني الرفيع. و هكذا أخذ راديو أرضي على عاتقه تقديم كل لحن دافئ , كل كلمة صادقة , ثائرة و كل نغم عربي أصيل
بإشراف فريق عمل من مختلف أنحاء الوطن العربي, استطاع أن يصل صدى الراديو و بمدة وجيزة إلى قلوب الكثير من المتابعين من مختلف أنحاء العالم.
“بلا ولا شي , بنحبكم …ولا في بهالحب مصاري ولا ممكن فيه ليرات ..ولا ممكن فيه أراضي ولا في مجوهرات”..حب يساري..هذه كانت كلمات صديقة متابعة للراديو مستعينة بزياد الرحباني في التعبير عن عشقها لراديو أرضي الذي لم يتوانى هو الآخر في مبادلتها الحب فأخذ يشدو ” أنا أتوب عن حبكم أنا , أنا ليه في بعدكم هنا” !
