في قلبي أنثى عبرية الشديدة التى تشعر بها حين تراها وتقرأ اسمها للمرة الأولى.. بعد الوصول للنهاية ستدرك أنك خُدعت ، وأن اسم الرواية لا يُعبّر عن المضمون فى شئ ، وإنما العكس تمامًا .. تتحدث رواية عن ( ريم ) البنت المسلمة التى فقد والديها وتربّت وسط عائلة يهودية .. تحترم عقائدهم ويحترمون عقائدها .. تسير الأيام فى بطء إلى أن تبدأ ( ريم ) فى التبدّل .. ترى أن هذه العائلة مصيرها النار وأن عليها أن ترشدهم إلى الطريق الصحيح .. على الجانب الآخر ، وفى لبنان ، تصادف ( ندى ) اليهودية المتسامحة ( أحمد ) المسلم المجاهد فى صفوف المقاومة ، وتتكون بينهما علاقة حب قائمة على تساؤل واحد .. أينا الأحق دينًا ؟ إلى منتصف الرواية تسير الامور جيدةً .. حياد كامل من الكاتبة ، التى قالت فى البداية أن الرواية قائمة على قصة حقيقية ، وطرح للفكرة بموضوعية شديدة .. فى النصف الثانى تضرب الكاتبة ب حيادها عرض الحائط وتعود إلى دينها الحقيقى ، وبالتالى تتحول الرواية ، تدريجيًا ، إلى هراء .. تتحوّل ( ندى ) إلى الإسلام ، ومن ثم تبدأ بإقناع الجميع بدينها الجديد ..

في قلب حارة اليهود في الجنوب التونسي تتشابك الأحداث حول المسلمة اليتيمة التي تربت بين أحضان عائلة يهودية، و بين ثنايا مدينة قانا العتيقة في الجنوب اللبناني تدخل بلبلة غير متوقعة في حياة ندى التي نشأت على اليهودية بعيدا عن والدها المسلم. تتتابع اللقاءات و الأحداث المثيرة حولهما لتخرج كلا منهما من حياة الرتابة و تسير بها إلى موعد مع القدر. في قلبي أنثى عبرية (لم تكن قد بلغت التاسعة من عمرها حين توفيت والدتها. أما والدها فقد توفي قبلها بسنوات، مخلفًا عائلته الصغيرة تعيش الفاقة والحرمان. وكان يجب على الأرملة الوحيدة أن تبحث عن عمل. لم يكن بإمكانها أن ترفض عرض جيرانها اليهود الأغنياء بالعمل عندهم كمدبرة منزل، فهم سيوفرون لها المسكن والمأكل، ويتكفلون برعاية ابنتها الصغيرة، حتى تواصل تعليمها وتنشأ في ظروف مناسبة. ولم يكن اختلاف الديانة ليغير في الأمر شيئًا. طوال سنوات من التجاور، نشأت علاقة فريدة من نوعها بين العائلتين، ما جعلهما موضع سخرية من البعض، وحسد من البعض الآخر. نشأت ريما بين أحضان عائلة جاكوب اليهودية وهم يعتبرونها فردًا منهم. فقد كانت بهجة البيت الذي يقيم فيه الأبوان المتقدمان في السن وابنهما جاكوب، وروحه النابضة بالحياة، بعد أن تزوجت ابنتهما الكبرى وسافرت مع زوجها إلى لبنان. وكان جاكوب أكثرهم تعلقًا بها وحبًا لها. كان شابًا في الثانية والعشرين من عمره حين دخلت ريما ذات السنوات الخمس حياته. فصار يقضي جل أوقاته معها. يلاعبها ويداعبها، يقرأ عليها القصص والحكايات، ويستمتع بانفعالاتها البريئة وضحكاتها العفوية، يشتري لها الألعاب والهدايا، ويستغل أوقات العطل للسفر معها... وكانت والدتها تطمئن عليها بين يديه، ويسعدها أن يمنحها حنان الأب الذي تفتقده.) وهكذا تمضي الرواية متخذه لها احداث قوية Critics say that the greater the number of words of the title, the more became weaker, except in certain exceptions ..
