“الخبر مقدّس والتعليق حر”؟

جعل موقع “زاد دي زاد” من هذه المقوله شعارا له، وصاحب المقولة هو الصحفي والناشر والسياسي الإنجليزي شارلز بريستويش سكوت، المولود في مدينة باث ببريطانيا في 26 أكتوبر 1846 والمتوفي في الفاتح جانفي 1932.
عمل شارلز سكوت محرّرا في صحيفة the Manchester Guardian من 1872 إلى 1929، والتي تحوّلت فيما بعد إلى صحيفة the Guardian الشهيرة، وأصبح سكوت مالكا للصحيفة منذ 1907 إلى وفاته.
كما كان سكوت نائبا مستقلا في البرلمان البريطاني.
قال سكوت مقولة “الخبر مقدّس والتعليق حرّ” العام 1921 بمناسبة الذكرى المئوية لانطلاق the Guardian، حيث كتب مقالا ذكّر فيه بأن المهمّة الأوّلية لأي صحيفة هي نقل الأخبار، وفيه كتب المقولة الشهيرة التي باتت فيما بعد القاعدة الذهبية في الإعلام.
لم يكن سكوت مسيحي الدّيانة، حيث كان من طائفة تسمى “الموحّدون”، وهم الذين يعتقدون أن المسيح ليس إلها وأن الإله واحد وليس ثلاثة.
بقي سكوت محررا في the Guardian 57 عاما، وفي العام 1929 بلغ الثالثة والثمانين من العمر وكان عليه أن يسلّم المشعل لابنه تد سكوت، الذي خلفه على رأس الصحيفة.

الحمام الزاجل

اعتمد موقع “زاد دي زاد” الحمام الزاجل رمزا له لما لهذا الطائر من ارتباط وثيق بـ”الخبر”.
يُطلق على الحمام الزاجل وصف “حمام الرسائل” أو “سيد الحمام”، وهو واحد من 500 نوع من الحمام، استأنسه الإنسان ودجَّنه، وهو يتميز بعودته دوما إلى موطنه، فكان يسافر من بلد إلى آخر، وفي قدمه رسالة يحملها عائداً إلى موطنه.
يمتاز بحدة الذكاء وقدرة فائقة على الطيران وغريزة قوية يهتدي بها إلى هدفه وموطنه، ويرى البعض أن “زاجل” كلمة عربية الأصل تعني “الرامي” أو “الدافع”، وهناك رأي يقول إن أصلها “فارسي” وتعني قائد العسكر أو قائد الجند.
وعندما نقل الغرب تربية الحمام الزاجل عن العرب استخدموا اللفظ نفسه Zajel، وأصبح هذا الاسم هو المتداول عالميا.
وجاء في التوراة بأن النبي نوح عليه السلام أرسل هذا الحمام ليبحث عن أرض يرسو عليها بسفينته، وفد قام بتلك المهمة خير قيام، إذ عاد وهو يحمل غصن زيتون دلال على انتهاء الطوفان.
واستعمل الإغريق الحمام الزاجل في توصيل الرسائل، فذكر المؤرخ بلينيوس أن نتائج مسابقات الألعابل الأولمبية كانت ترسل إلى المدن البعيدة بواسطة الزاجل.
ويقول وول ديورانت في “قصة الحضارة” بأن اليونانيين استعملوا الحمام الزاجل في نقل الرسائل.
وعند العرب برع الفاطميون على الأمويين في استخدام الحمام الزاجل لنقل البريد بل وخصصوا له ديوانا خاصا به، وكان أصل أفضل الحمام الزاجل في مصر يُجلب من مدينة الموصل بالعراق، ووصل الأمر بالخلفاء الفاطميين إلى أن أفردوا له ديوانا وجرائد بأنسابه، وكان لكل خليفة مسؤول خبير في شؤون الحمام يُدعى “صاحب الحمام” ويُعدّ من كبار مسؤولي الدولة.
وأول من اعتنى بهذا الحمام من الملوك ونقله من الموصل السلطان نورالدين بن زنكي (565 هجرية)، ففي عهده نُظمت أول خطوط سير الحمام الزاجل على نسق البريد العادي به موظفون وأعدّ له مطارات (محطات) ذات أبراج في كل 21 كيلومتر، وكان حارس كل مركز حال وصول الحمامة إلى البرج يقيد ساعة وصولها إليه وذهابها على ظهر الرسالة التي تحملها.
وفي العام 1840 رتبت شركة “هافاس” في باريس التراسل بالحمام بين لندن وبروكسل وباريس ونجح الأمر. وفي الحرب العالمية الأولى (1914-1918) استخدم الحلفاء نحو 100 ألف حمامة موزعة على جيوش البر والبحر، وكان الحمام في خدمة جهاز المخابرات.
وقدّرت البحرية البريطانية دور الحمام الزاجل فأنشأت حكومتها دائرة تولت استخدام هذا الحمام شديد الذكاء للقيام بمهمات استعلامية.
ولقيت حمامت تقديرا كبيرا منها حمامة كانت تُسمى “الصديقة العزيزة” أدت خدمات جليلة منها نقلها أخبارا عن جنود وضباط مصابين جرى إنقاذهم فيما بعد، وفي المرة الأخيرة التي طارت “الصديقة العزيزة” وجه إليها الألمان نيرانا إلا أنها نجت حاملة رسالة خطيرة من جنود أمريكيين كانوا في حالة يأس شديد بسبب حصار الألمان لهم وكانت نتيجة الرسالة أن نجا الجنود من المأزق غير أن الحمامة سقطت فيما بعد ميتة واحتفل الفرنسيون بدفنها احتفالا كبيرا.
وفي العهد الحديث بقيت أجهزة استخبارات تستعمل الحمام الزاجل في بعض المرات تجنبا لقرصنة رسائلها إلكترونيا، رغم أن أمريكا أعلنت في سنة 1957 أن خدمات الحمام الزاجل عفا عليها الزمن وأصبحت مستحيلة.
