الشيخ عبد الرحمن بن عبد العزيز بن عبد الله بن محمد السديس الملقب بالسديس الرئيس العام لشؤون المسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي, وإمام الحرم المكي الشريف. يرجع نسبه إلى قبيلة عنزة بن ربيعة بن عدنان. ولد في البكيرية عام 1382 هـ وهو من محافظة البكيرية بمنطقة القصيم.
هو الرئيس العام لشؤون المسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي وإمام وخطيب المسجد الحرام بمكة المكرمة، ومن أشهر مرتلي القرآن الكريم في العالم. تمكن من حفظ القرآن ولم يكن يبلغ من العمر اثني عشر سنة.
في سنة 1979 حصل السديس على شهادة من المعهد العلمي الرياض بتقدير ممتاز. بعد ذلك في سنة 1983 أتم السديس دراسته العليا بالجامعة حيث حصل على شهادة في الشريعة، ثم بعدها على الإجازة من الجامعة الإسلامية محمد بن سعود سنة 1987. ونال بعد ذلك الدكتوراه في الشريعة الإسلامية سنة 1995 من جامعة أم القرى. عرف عبد الرحمن السديس بالنبرة الخاصة في صوته التي تخشع معها الأفئدة وتجويده الممتاز للقرآن الكريم. نال السديس جائزة الشخصية الإسلامية للسنة في الدورة التاسعة لجائزة دبي الدولية للقرآن الكريم سنة 1995.
