تحوي سورة البقرة على آية الكرسي التي تحتل الرقم 255، وهي آية يحفظها العديد من المسلمين ويعدون أن لها شأنا عظيما. عن أَبى هريرة قال: "وكلني رسول الله بحفظ زكاة رمضان فأَتاني آت فجعل يحثو من الطعامِ فأَخذته فقلت لأَرفعنك إِلى رسول الله فقص الحديث فقال إِذا أَويت إِلى فراشك فاقرأ آية الكرسيِ لن يزال معك من الله حافظ ولا يقربك شيطان حتى تصبِح وقال النبِي صدقك وهو كذوب ذاك شيطان".

سورة البقرة هي جرعة الأمل إلى من لم يوفق في هذه الحياة وكل من أراد السعادة في دنياه ومن أصابه الملل والسأم في حياته، فتغيث من أثقلت الهموم والأحزان والمصائب صدره، وتأخذ بيد من فقد غالياً، وتسعف هذه السورة الكريمة كل مريض ومن حرم الذرية وتبعث بصيص الأمل من جديد.
