سور وآيات وردت في شأنها أحاديث مروية عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في بيان فضلها وما خصها به ربنا عز وجل من حكمة ونور.

هذه السور والآيات المباركة منها ما يطلب من المؤمن والمؤمنة قراءته يوميا أكثر من مرة كما هو الشأن في الفاتحة الواجب قراءتها في الصلاة، والأحاديث مشهورة في بيان فضلها، وكذلك الحال في سورة الإخلاص والمعوذتين اللاتي قال في شأنها نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم "قل قل هو الله أحد والمعوذتين حين تمسي، وحين تصبح، ثلاث مرات تكفيك من كل شيء". ويجدر التنبيه هنا إلى ضرورة التقيد بالعدد المنصوص عليه سنة. ومنها ما ورد الترغيب في قراءته في وقت خاص من اليوم والليلة كما هو شأن أواخر سورة البقرة التي قال عنها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم "من قرأ بالآيتين من آخر سورة البقرة في ليلة كفتاه". ومنها ما ارتبط بيوم من الأسبوع، ويتعلق الأمر بسورة الكهف حيث قال عنها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم "من قرأ سورة الكهف يوم الجمعة أضاء له من النور ما بين الجمعتين".

ولا يفهم من تخصيص بعضها بالقراءة في وقت محدد أنها لا تقرأ في غيره، فتلاوة القرآن عبادة من أشرف القربات التي يشتغل بها الصالحون والصالحات من عباد الله آناء الليل وأطراف النهار.
