Benefits of Reciting Ahad Nama

Those who had recited Ahad Nama in their lives. The angels will keep a record of that and seal it and keep safe until The Judgment Day. It has been referenced from Imam Hakeem Tirmeezi (Radi ALLAHU Anhu), says: Ahad Naamah has been written on the shroud of Imam Tawus (Radi ALLAHU Anhu) as he mentioned for this in his will. As far as my knowledge is concerned, I have not seen any authenticated Hadith references to know the benefits of reciting Ahad Nama in Islam. Whereas, no genuine and authenticated references have been cited to confirm its truth. Though, if you can recite this with the aim of praising ALLAH Subhanahu Wata ‘Ala, ALLAH will surely listen to your urge.

Ahad Nama ka Matlab

‘Ahad ka matlab ‘yakta’ yani ek se hai. Aur nama ka matlab farman/Aetraf se hai. Banda ye iqrar karta hai ke ALLAH ek (yakta) hai.

What is Ahad Nama?

Ahad Nama has its own great literal meaning.

Avow means asserted, admitted. Therefore, Ahad Nama is The Letter of Avow that ALLAH is Only One!

Ahad Naamah means to The Letter of Avow, affirmation, or an acceptance. Elaboratively, the one who accepts:

The Oneness of ALLAH,
ALLAH is The Only God,
Prophet Mu’hammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is The Messenger of ALLAH
Refrain the slaves to remain away from the evils until The Judgment Day.
Keeping the slaves in His mercy until The Judgment Day.

Should You Recite Ahad Nama?

Yes, why not?

There is nothing wrong with the recitation of Ahad Nama. Instead, from few unauthenticated references (discussed further) it has been proved that if one recites Ahad Nama he will earn rewards in the afterlife too.

As it has a lot of virtues and benefits. There are a number of rewards that a reciter can earn. One can also convey the rewards to the deceased and to Our Prophet Mu’hammad SallALLAHU ‘Alayhe Wasallam

Bismi Allahi arrahmaniar raheem.
Allahumma Faatiras Samaawaati Wal Ardhi Aalimalghaybi Wash shahaadati Antar Rahmaanur Raheem. Allahumma Inni Aahadu Ilayka Fihaazihil Hayaatiddunyaa Wa Ash Hadu Allaailaaha Illa Anta Wahdaka Laasharika Laka Wa Ash Hadu Anna Muhammadan Abduka Wa Rasuluka Falaa Takilni Ilaa Nafsi FaInnaka ,Intakilni Ilaa Nafsi Tuqarribni Ilash Sharri Watubaa Idnee Minal Khayri Wa Inni Laa Attakilo Illa Birahmatika Faj Alli Indaka Ahadan Tuwaffihi Ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati Innaka Laa Tukhlifulmiyaad. عہد نامہ کےفوائد اور برکات

حضرت ابنِ مسعود رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہےکہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک روز اپنے اصحاب سے فرمایا کیا تم اس بات سے عاجز ہوکہ صبح و شام اللہ تعالٰی سے عہد کرلیا کرو ؟ عرض کیا گیا کیسے ؟ فرمایا جو صبح و شام اس عہدنامہ کو پڑھے گا ایک فرشتہ اس پر مہر لگا کر عرش معلٰے کے نیچے رکھ دے گا اور بروزِ قیامت منادی ندا کرے گا وہ لوگ کہاں ہیں جن کے لیے اللہ کے پاس عہد ہے تو وہ جنت میں داخل ہوں گے

اس کے پڑھنے سے ہر قسم کی جائز حاجات پوری ہوںگی اور ہر مرض اور ہر مصیبت سے نجات ملے گی ایمان تازہ اور کامل ہوگا

اور کسی میت کے قبر میں رکھنا بھی جائز ہے امید ہے کے اللہ تعالٰی اس میت کو بخش دے اور عذابِ قبر سے مامون فرمائے
