الإقـــنـاع
هو عملية تحويل أو تطويع آراء الآخرين نحو رأي مستهدف يقوم المرسل او المتحدث بمهمة الاقناع اما المستهدف او المستقبل فهو القائم بعملية الاقتناع
و تحتاج عملية الاقتناع ليس الى مهارة القائم بالحديث و المسئول عن الاقناع فقط و لكن ايضا الى وجود بعض الاستعداد لدى المستهدف، او مساعدته على خلق هذا الاستعداد لدية .
ويظهر جلياً من التعريف أن الإقناع فرع عن إجادة مهارات الاتصال والتمكن من فنون الحوار وآدابه .وتتداخل بعض الكلمات في المعنى مع الإقناع مع وجود فوارق قد تكون دقيقة إلى درجة خفائها عن البعض ؛ ومن أمثال هذه الكلمات : الخداع ، الإغراء ، التفاوض . فبعضها تهييج للغرائز وبعضها تزييف للحقائق وبعضها مجرد حل وسط واتفاق دون اقتناع وهكذا .
