مجلة الاحكام العدلية تحتوى على اهم الاحكام الفقهية فى المعاملات وهى اول تقنين مدنى وقد صدرت حين كلّف السلطان العثماني عبد الحميد لجنة من كبار علماء الدولة العثمانيّة لوضع مجلّة جامعة لأبواب الفقه الإسلامي لتكون بمثابة القانون المدني للدولة . لاغنى عنها للمحامى والقاضى والفقهاء الشرعيين

وتحـوي المجلّة ستة عشر كتاباً تضمنت ألفاً وثمانمائة وواحد وخمسين مادّة قانونيّة ويختص الكتاب الأوّل ببيان الاصطلاحات الفقهيّة المتعلّقة بالبيع ؛ والكتاب الثاني بالإيجارات ؛ والثالث بالكفالة ؛ والرابع بالحوالة ؛ والخامس: بالرهن ؛ والسادس: بالأمانات ؛ والسابع: بالهبة ؛ والثامن: بالغصب والإتلاف ؛ والتاسع: بالحجر والإكراه والشفعة ؛ والعاشر: بالشركات ؛ والحادي عشر: بالوكالة ؛ والثاني عشر: بالصلح والإبراء ؛ والثالث عشر: بالأمور المتعلّقة بالإقرار ؛ والرابع عشر: بالدعوى ؛ والخامس عشر: بالبيّنات والتحليف ؛ والسادس عشر: بالقضاء وتعتبر هذه المجلّة نواة علميّة جديدة، وتأسيساً لنهضة تشريعيّة مستنبطة من كتب المذاهب السنيّة المعتبرة .
