وحسن الإيجاز، وعزو كل قول إلى من قائله. ومن منهج مصنفه أنه كان يخرج نصوصه من كتب الحديث، والتفاسير المسندة، وإن أعياه الإسناد عزاه إلى قائله من المفسرين والعلماء. والكتاب مرتب وفق ترتيب سور القرآن.
