رواية نهاية حب ليو تولستوي . من روائع الأدب العالمي للأديب الروسي المعروف “ليوتو لستوي” تبدأ أحداث الرواية عندما تصل إلى قرية من قرى بلاد القوقاز اسمها “نوفوميلينسكايا” كتيبتان من مشاة الجيش الروسي في رحلة من رحلات التدريب، فتبدأ عملية انتشارهم وتجوالهم في الطرقات وما بين البيوت، الأمر الذي يثير حفيظة القوقازيين أهل تلك القرية الذين أبدوا استيائهم من الوافدين الغرباء ووسط هذا الضجيج تنشأ قصة حب بين “أولينين” الثري الروسي، وفتاة قوقازية تدعى “ماريانكا” من بنات السوقة، فأصبح كل همه أن يتحدث إليها ويلقاها يقول “… وفي سبيل ذلك عملت بيدي في حقل ابيها، وقضيت أمسيات برمتها بين أسرتها، وأمست صورتها في هذا الإطار العائلي الجديد…” وهكذا تتبدل نظرة اولينين إلى الحياة فأصبح يعشق كل شيئاً ممثلاً فيها يقول: “لقد كنت ميتاً من قبل. أما الآن فأنا أحيا بمعنى الكلمة…” ولكن، الأمور لا تسير على ما يرام فيتحول حب “ماريانكا” إلى كره شديد والسبب هو مقتل كثير من القوقازيين أهل بلادها على يد الروس…؟.
