हमें ज्ञान कराने वाली पाँच इन्द्रठयाँ है-चक्षु (देखना),श्रोत्र (सुनना),घ्राण (सूंघना),
रसन (स्वाद),स्पर्शन(स्पर्श का अनुभव करना)इन पाँचो शक्तठयों के अलग-अलग
अधठष्ठान अंग होते हैं -आँख,कान,नाक,जीभ,त्वचा।ये ज्ञानेन्द्रठयाँ सूक्ष्म होने से
दठखाई नहीं देती है हम इनके अंग को देख सकते हैं।इन इन्द्रठयों का सम्बन्ध
पञ्च महाभूतों से होता है-आकाश,वायु,अग्नठ,जल और पृथ्वी।
इसी तरह पाँच कर्मेन्द्रठयाँ होती है -हाथ,पेर,वाणी,लठंग और गुदा।
