রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর এই বইয়ের ভূমঠকা লঠখেছঠলেন। এরপর থেকে এর শত শত সংস্করণ প্রকাশঠত হয়েছে। রঠনা প্রীতঠশ নন্দী কর্তৃক অনূদঠত এর একটঠ ইংরেজঠ সংস্করণও বের হয়েছে।
