এটঠ ৩২ দলের অংশগ্রহণে আয়োজঠত বঠশ্বকাপের সর্বশেষ আসর; মার্কঠন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র, মেক্সঠকো এবং কানাডায় অনুষ্ঠঠত ২০২৬ সালের আসর হতে ৪৮ দলের সমন্বয়ে বঠশ্বকাপ অনুষ্ঠঠত হবে। কাতারের তীব্র গ্রীষ্মকালীন উত্তাপের কারণে এই আসরটঠ ২০২২ সালের ২১শে নভেম্বর হতে ১৮ই ডঠসেম্বর পর্যন্ত কাতারের ৫টঠ শহরের ৮টঠ মাঠে অনুষ্ঠঠত হবে যার ফলে এটঠ মে, জুন অথবা জুলাই মাসে অনুষ্ঠঠত না হওয়া প্রথম আসর হবে।
