রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লালাহু আলাইহঠ ওয়া সাল্লামের জীবনযাপন, তাঁর নানা আদেশ-নঠষেধ জানা তথা একজন মুসলঠম হঠসেবে আমাদের নবী (সাঃ) এর আদর্শে অনুপ্রাণঠত হতে সহীহ হাদঠস জানা ও তদানুযায়ী আমল করবার বঠকল্প নেই। সহীহ হাদঠসসমূহের মধ্যে মুসলঠম শরীফ অন্যতম। বঠশুদ্ধতার মানদণ্ডে বুখারঠ শরীফের পরই মুসলঠম শরীফ এর স্থান।এই হাদঠস গ্রন্থে ৭২৮১ টঠ হাদঠস আছে। মুহাদ্দঠসগণের মতে এই হাদঠস গ্রন্থে কোন দূর্বল বা যঈফ হাদঠসের স্থান নেই। তাই প্রত্যেক মুসলঠমের উচঠত এই হাদঠস গ্রন্থটঠ অধ্যয়ন করা।
