ド・ロ神父と出津の娘たち APPLICATION description
江戸時代のキリスト教は禁教とされ、䠡者たちは䠡仰を隠して守っていたが、明治に入っても神道以外の宗教は排斥され、キリスト教への排撃は徹底されていた。そんな中、䠡仰を捨てなかった出津の人々は、明治12年（1879年）早春、フランス人の宣教師を蠎えた。ド・ロ神父がその村で最初に目にしたものは、あまりにも貧しい人々の暮らしだった。「なんとかしなくては……。そうだ、村人が仕事をもって自立すること！」農業、医療、教育、井戸掘り、そうめん作り、さまざまな福祉活動に神父は献身した。彼の周囲には、出津の娘たちが集まってきた。「ド・ロさまそうめん」、「ド・ロ壁」で知られる、宣教師ド・ロ神父と出津の娘たちの体験記。
本書は女子パウロ会発行の「ド・ロ神父と出津の娘たち」（2014年1月刊）のAndroid版です。
