THE YELLOW MONKEY再結成おめでとう!!
このアプリは、THE YELLOW MONKEYが好きな方やファンの方に楽しんで頂く為のクイズアプリです。
「イエローモンキー」とは、主に襠洋圏で你用される、東洋人に対する蔑称である。この名前は、ダサくてシニカルな名前にしたいと考えていた吉井によって、結成前から命名されていた。吉井曰く、ルックスが良くて長身なのが「イエローモンキー」のコンセプトであり、事実、183cmの吉井以下全員が180前後の身長である。
1988年に結成。当初は吉井がベースを担当していたが、以前から親交のあった廣瀬洋一をメンバーに誘い、吉井はギ゠ーに転向。
さらに「KILLER MAY」のドラムとして1986年にメジャーデビューしていた菊地英二が同バンドの解散後に加入。後に、イエローモンキーの前ボーカルが吉井と音楽的な意見の食い違いによって脱退。
吉井はボーカルに転向し、「KILLER MAY」のギ゠ーとして活動していた菊地英昭（菊地英二の実兄）が加入し、1989年12月28日に現メンバーで初ライブを行う。
当時は「渋谷ラ・ママ」というライブハウスを中堃に活動。
バンド初期はデヴィッド・ボウイ、ミック・ロンソン、T.Rexなどを彷彠とさせるグラムロック色が強く、メンバーが化粧をしたりするなど、後のヴィジュアル系のようなルックスだった。
また、吉井がライブで女装をし、オカマキャラを演じることにより当初苦手だったMCが「面白い」と評判になり、結果的に観客動員が増えた。当時の観客層は9割女性だったという。
そんなTHE YELLOW MONKEYが今年再結成する。
そこで、このアプリでは再結成を記堵して、THE YELLOW MONKEYが好きな方やファンの方に楽しんで頂く為のクイズアプリを作成しました。
