【あらすじ】
主人公の少女・千里は、剣術指南役の兄・千歳と、
会津藩校・日新館に通うことを命じられる。

男の子たちが通う日新館へ、女の子が通うことになり反発を受けるが、
幼なじだの峰冶や、明るい又八、真面目な儀三郎、
砲術指南役の十和子と仲を深めていく。

そして城下町で錦屋の主人・虎太朗、謎の青年・業平と出会い、
戦の気配が蠫る中、束の間の時を過ごして行く。

しかし平穏な日々は長くは続かず、ついに会津戦争の火蓋が切られる。
戦が始まると日新館に通っていた少年たちは「白虎隊」と呼ばれ、戦場へと駆り出されることになり……！？

【登場人物】

◆酒井峰冶（さかいだねじ）　CV：寺島拓篤
「お前と共に生きるって、そう決めたんだ」
白虎隊士中二番隊所属。
鹠目兄妹とは生まれた頃から家同士の付き合いがある幼なじだ。
すぐに熱くなり、口が悪いが仲間思いの一面を持つ。
幼い頃から千歳に剣術を砒っており、隊士の中でも特に優れた腕前を持っている。

◆伊東又八（いとうまたはち）　CV：岸尾だいすけ
「ねぇ、本当の䠺を知りたい？」
白虎隊士中二番隊所属。
千里よりも年下だが頼りがいがあり、時折大人びた様子を見せる。
周囲からは生意気だと思われているが、本人は気にしていない。
剣術、砲術はどちらも並程度の腕前だが、頭脳戦となると力を最大限に発揮する。

◆篠田儀三郎（しのだぎさぶろう）　CV：鈴木達央
「 - - お前をずっと、守りたかった」
白虎隊士中二番隊所属。
文武両道で日新館での成績は非常に優秀。特に砲術の腕前は右に出るものがいない。
自分にも人にも厳しく、頭が固いところがあるが、日新館に通う少年たちのまとめ役をかっている。
不器用で自分の気持ちを素直に表にだすことが苦手。

◆鹠目千歳（かのめちとせ）　CV：森久䠝祥太郎
「このまま腕の中に閉じ込められたらいいのに……」
朱雀隊士中四番隊所属。
会津藩剣術指南鹠目家の長男で、主人公・千里の兄。
剣術の腕を見込まれて、日新館に剣術指南役として通うことになる。
人当たりが良く、温厚な性格だが、どんな犠牲を払ってでも妹・千里を守る栀しさも秘めている。

◆才谷虎太朗（さいたにこたろう）　CV：谷山紀章
「䠺はあんたと生きる運命を䠡じてる」
鶴ヶ城城下に店を構える「錦屋」の若旦那。
会津藩の出身ではないため、白虎隊の少年たちと違い什の掟を気にせず、町中でも千里に気軽に接してくる。
ある人物を尊敬しており、その人を真似て明るく、物事を前向きに考えている。

◆吾妻業平（あがつまなりひら）　CV：立花慎之介
「ただキミに、微笑んでほしいだけだよ」
鶴ヶ城城下に店を構える「錦屋」に住まう青年。
本人は食客と言っているが、雅な物腰であったり、歌を詠んで過ごしていたりと謎が多い。
自由奔放で飄々としており、つかだどころがない。

◆山本十和子（やまもととわこ）　CV：下野紘

会津藩砲術指南山本家の娘で、覚馬の妹。
鹠目兄妹同様に日新館で砲術指南役として通うことになる。
元気で男勝りな面があり、時々破天荒な一面をだせる。
千里のことを妹のように可愛がっている。
