PIE란?
'Photo In Education'의 약자로 '사진활용교육' 을 뜻한다.
미 듀크대학교 다큐멘터리 연구소에서 1991년 사진교육자 '웬디 이월드'를 초청해 초등학교 아이들에게 사진과 글쓰기를 가르치기 시작한 교육 프로그램이 시초, 듀크대는 정식 교과과정으로 개설 운영하고 있으며, 사진찍기와 글쓰기를 통해 아이들의 표현력, 관찰력, 창의력, 소통의 능력까지 향상시켜 주는 흥미로운 교육법.
현재 미국렐 아니라 네덜란드 등 유럽을 거쳐 한국, 중국, 탄자니아 등 전세계적으로 확산.

What is PIE?
'Photo In Education' stands for 'Education Using pictures' which means.
Duke University Institute of the U.S. in the 1991 documentary, photo educators 'Wendy the World' and invited to teach elementary school children photos and start writing the beginning of training
programs, as Duke opened the formal curriculum and operations, taking pictures and writing the children's expression, observation, creativity and communication skills to enhance the education law
interesting.
