하나님은 시편 90편 10절 말씀을 통하여
\"우리의 연수가 칠십이요 강건하면 팔십이라도 그 연수의 자랑은 수고와 슬픔렐이요 신속히 가니 우리가 날아가나이다\"고 말씀해 주셨습니다.
하나님이 말씀해 주신 고희를 지나다보니 실로 그 말씀이 왜 그리도 피부로 와 닠는지 모르겠습니다.
지난 31년의 세월을 돌아보건대, 이스라엘이 광야 40년을 걸었던 것처럼 이루 헤아릴 수 없는 우여곡절의 시간들이었습니다.
주께서 맡겨주신 하나님의 양들을 먹이고 지키기 위한 피나는 영적 전쟁의 시간들이었으며,
사랑하는 양들과 함께 울고 웃었던 한 편의 영화와 같은 아름다운 시간들이었습니다.
그러나 그러한 긴 세월도 이제는 마치 어제처럼 신속히 가며 또 날아가 버렸습니다.
이렇게 빠르게 흘러갈 시간이었다면 좀 더 충성하고 좀 더 헌신할 것을, 때늦은 후회가 밀려 듭니다.
그러나 죄악된 우리 인생은 언젠가 이별을 맞이하고 한 세대가 가면 또 다른 한 세대가 와야 함이 하나님의 뜻 아니겠습니까?
지금껏 우리를 지키시고 인도하여 주신 하나님께서는 앞으로 우리 경서교회와 사랑하는 성도님들을 지키시며 한 세대가 못 다 이룬 믠음의 과업을 또 다른 한 세대가 반드시 이루어 나갈 줄 믠습니다.
당회장 홍성익 목사를 필두로 온 성도가 하나되어 하나님 나라의 비전을 바라보며 항해의 닻을 올리는 그 길 위에 힘찬 박수와 기도로 격려합니다.
지금껏 인도하신 하나님께서 지금 이 순간도, 그리고 앞으로도 영원히 우리와 함께 해 주실 줄 믠습니다.
