지난해는 여러 사건과 사고, 정치 경제적으로도 많은 어려움을 겪었던 한해였습니다. 특별히 우리에겐 예배당 화재의 큰 아픔이 있었습니다. 그러나 그 아픔을 딛고, 기도하며 예배당 재건과 복구에 힘을 쏟고 있습니다. 모두에게 어렵고 힘든 시간이었지만, 감사한 것은 지금의 어려움을 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 믠음의 연단과 시련으로 알고, 그 동안의 나태했던 신앙의 모습을 돌아보고 점검하며, 믠음의 모습이 조금도 흐트러짐이 없었다는 것입니다. 원망과 불평을 하기 보다는 눈물로 회개하며 기도하였습니다. 서로를 위로하고 격려하였습니다. 온 교회의 하나 됨을 위해 힘쓰고 있습니다. 보이는 예배당 건물과 함께 내면의 성전을 새롭게 세워가기에 힘쓰고 있습니다. 돌아보면 모든 것이 함께 하신 하나님의 은혜였습니다.
새해 새아침이 되면 누구나 한 가지씩 소망을 품고, 그것을 이루기 위해 다짐하고 노력합니다. 성도 여러분은 어떤 소망을 계획하셨습니까? 우리가 살고 있는 시대는 ‘소망이 없는 시대’ 라는 말이 있을 만큼 어둡고 절망적인 시대입니다. 그러나 아무리 어려운 시대, 어려운 일이라 할지라도 하나님께서 함께하시면 길이 있고, 소망이 있으며, 역사가 일어납니다. 2017년 우리 교회는 “세상의 소망이 되는 교회” 라는 표어로 예배당 재건과 함께, 소망이 없는 세상에 우리 성도와 교회가 세상의 소망이 되고자 하는 ꠈ이 있습니다. 특별히 매 주일 사도행전의 말씀을 함께 나누려고 합니다. 사도행전을 보면, 예수님께서 부활하신 이후에 이 땅에서 예수님께서 행하신 사역들이 제자들을 통해 계승 발전되었고, 주님의 부활을 중심으로 새롭게 형성된 교회가 성령의 인도하심을 따라 선교의 역사를 펼쳐가며 하나님 나라의 역사를 이루어가는 교회의 이야기가 기록되어 있습니다. 예배당을 재건하는 일은 단순히 교회 건물을 다시 세우는 것이나, 더 아름답고 편리하고 크게 바꾸는 것이 아닙니다. 교회에 대한 생각을 바로 하고, 교회가 해야 할 일도 분명히 하고, 우리 춘천중앙교회의 비전을 새롭게 하는 일입니다.
이를 위해 무엇보다 2017년에는 더욱 더 하나님 중심, 예배 중심의 삶을 살아야 할 것입니다. 하나님은 우리 삶과 존재의 원천이 되십니다. 나의 물질과 인격, 나의 나 된 것도 소유주는 내가 아닌 하나님이시기 때문입니다. 또한 예배는 하나님과의 관계이며, 하나님과의 만남이고, 영적 에너지의 원천이며, 복의 통로입니다. 또한 예배는 하나님을 하나님 되게 하고, 인간을 인간되게 하는 신앙의 전부입니다. 예배를 통한 하나님 중심의 삶을 살 때 놀라운 영적 부흥과, 하나님의 임재가 우리의 삶 속에 충만할 것입니다. 그리고 하나님 중심, 예배 중심으로 변화된 성도 한 사람 한 사람이 이웃과 지역사회를 섬김으로 나아갈 때, 세상은 우리 교회와 성도들을 통해 소망을 발견하게 될 것입니다.
오직 하나님만이 우리의 참 소망이 되십니다. 바라기는 예수 그리스도의 몸인 우리 춘천중앙교회와 성도들이 하나님께서 주신 소망과 역사를 이루는 주인공들이 되셔서, 삶의 자리마다 은혜로운 간증거리들이 넘쳐나길 기원합니다.
