컬러 오브 클라우즈 첫내한공연

요즘 현지 뉴요커들 사이에서 가장 Hot한 아티스트로 주목받고 있는 Color of Clouds는 최근 미국 방송드라마 여러편에 그들의 음악이 테마곡으로 사용되면서 더욱 뜨거운 관심을 받고 있다. 어젠스틱한 포크사운드와 분위기 있는 일렉트로닉팝 음악을 구사하는 Color of Clouds는 철학적이고 인생을 관조하는 듯한 깊이 있는 노랫말과 더불어 사랑과 이별을 담백하고 애절하게 노래하며 미국 젊은이들 렐만 아니라 우리나라 젊은이들의 심금을 울리고 있는 음악들로 큰 사랑을 받고 있다.

ABC 미드 의 엔딩테마곡인 wonder, NBC 미드 와 영화 OST 삽입곡 come back to me, Fox 미드 의 삽입곡 brother, The CW 미드 의 테마곡 burn it down, 테마곡 Cinderella등 여러편이 미드의 주제곡이나 삽입곡으로 사용되면서 미국 감성팝의 핫 아이콘으로 전성기를 구가하고 있다.

Color of Clouds는 아시아계 미국인인 Dan Chen (프로듀싱, 키보드, 작 편곡 담당)과 캘리포니아 출신의 금발의 백인인 Kelli Scarr (보컬, 기타, 작편곡 담당) 이렇게 2명으로 구성된 혼성 팝밴드이다.

대한민국 첫 내한공연에서 Color of Clouds는 미국드라마의 주제음악들을 비롯 그들의 수많은 히트곡과 더불어 우리나라 대중가요를 자신들만의 감성으로 재 해석한 노래도 선보일 예정이다.

Indie outfit Color of Clouds hails from Brooklyn, New York. The songwriting duo is made up of singer Kelli Scarr, who appears on the Roots single 'Birthday Girl', as well as on several tracks on Moby's latest record, and producer Dan Chen, who co-writes with Nicole Atkins, Natalie Walker, and Eddi Front, to name a few. Kelli and Dan have known each other for years, having been part of the electro-rock band Moonraker (2000-04), and have always kept in touch - performing and playing on many of each others' projects over the years. During the summer of 2008, Chen and Scarr had both just come off tour, each with a handful of fresh new songs, and in the studio, they were surprised to find that many of these were similarly themed, and similar in style. They decided to merge their efforts into a new project, and Color of Clouds was born. They released 'The Look EP' in 2009, and have since released a full length, 'Satellite of Love', and second and third Eps 'Wonder', and'Tiny Hammers'. They have been extremely well-received in the press, described as a mixture of indie folk/pop: sweetly textured pop songs with orchestral leanings, tinged with electronics. Several Color of Clouds songs have appeared on TV shows including Ugly Betty, One Tree Hill, and Damages. Their First Concert in Korea will be outed on Mapo Art Center in South Korea.
