하와이 한미 시민권자연맹 APPLICATION description
미주이민 110주년을 맞이하면서 뒤돌아보면 우리 한인동포사회가 많은 발전을 이루어왔지만 가장 취약한 점이 주류 사회진출과 정치력 신장이라 생각합니다.
그러므로 이 단체를 창립하게 된 취지와 목적은 우리 어른들이 앞장서 초석의 밑거름이 되어 젊은 차세대에게 비전과 힘을 실어주는 단체로서 50,000 한인동포와 함께 밝은 한인사회를 위하여 위상을 격상시키고 중립적인 단체로서 한인회, 한인변호사협회, 상공회의소와 함께 손을 잡고 한인사회 정치력 신장을 높이고 또한 한인사회 미래를 위하여 발족된 한미시민권자연맹 설립 취지 및 목적을 말씀드리겠습니다.

a. 한인계인구 = 총 48,699명
b. 시민권자 = 34,435명 (83%)
c. 영주권자 = 6,684명 (16%)
d. 한인사회 각종단체 (52개)
2. 한미시민권자연맹 설립 취지 및 목적
a. 선거캠페인 및 선거등록 업무 수행
b. 비 시민권자 시민권 취득에 관한 제반교육 강좌
c. 주류사회 진출을 위한 각종 정보 및 교육강좌
d. 참신한 차세대 남녀 선거에 관한 전문인력 양성
e. 각종 주류사회 및 한인사회 행사를 돕는일
f. 한인사회 권익 옹호 및 불이익을 받을 때 상담실 운영
g. 미국 시민권자로서 본국의 알아야할 권리 정보
