ActivID ActivClient Service APPLICATION description
Base Service for HID Global ActivID® ActivClient Mobile SDK. This service is a pre-requisite for applications based on ActivClient Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK), providing access to smart
cards and other secure elements.
ActivClient Mobile SDK enables application developers, enterprises, government entities and other organizations to take advantage of the security benefits of two-factor authentication, digital signature and encryption technology on Google® Android® smartphones and tablets.

ActivClient Mobile SDK supports FIPS 201 compliant smart cards (PIV, PIV-I, CIV and CAC), enterprise smart cards such as HID Global Crescendo smart cards, and contactless smart cards via the device NFC interface.
Note: The ActivID ActivClient Base Service is a background service and does not have any user interface.
