AD Electricity Consumption APPLICATION description

APP in portuguese!

Hi! This APP will help you analyze your Electricity Consumption. You can easily add the equipment of your building and get the individual result of energy consumption as well as total amount and percentage that each of them represent on your Electricity bill.

After pressing the bill calculator button, you will get the monthly cost per device.

The App has four screens: “table”; “edit”; “insert” and “calculate”

You will start with 21 usual equipment already registered which can be deleted or even add others according to your necessity.

The “table” screen is where all equipment is presented and where you can perform total and individual analyses.

The "edit" screen that appears by clicking in any equipment in the "table" is used to change the characteristics of each device or group of devices (name, power, hours of use per day and days of use per month), as well as exclude any equipment that is not part of your building.

The "insert" screen (which appears by clicking on your phone's menu) is very similar to the edit screen and is used to insert new equipment.

The "calculate" screen (which appears by clicking on your phone's menu) is where the closure of all work is done. You will find the rate per kWh that can be typed in or selected through registered dealers and by the type of building: Housing; Commerce; Industry.

Understanding your total and individual equipment consumption is possible to adopt measures to reduce the Electricity Bill.

Money saving Tips:

Refrigerator, Freezer and Fridge: Keep cooling devices away from the wall. It is recommended that you keep cooling devices at least 15 cm away from the wall to facilitate air circulation through the refrigerator louver condenser placed on the back. Also, keep the condenser coil clean once it is a critical factor in keeping your product operating. It is estimated that poor conditions can lead to a 10% to 15 % increase on energy consumption;

Excessive Ice in Freezer: Ice in excess is not good. Usually the ice will appear on the walls of the freezer and refrigerator and while the refrigerator may continue to operate normally, this ice formation will eventually block off the vents that allow cold air to circulate from the freezer to the refrigerator compartments. Condensation buildup is the primary cause because warm air is leaking into the refrigerator. Also, as cold air escapes, it makes the compressor work harder to keep the unit cold, which will significantly increase energy bills. Defrost is recommended when ice accumulation is thicker than 5mm (point where the ice becomes a thermal isolator). It is estimated that the thickness of this layer may result in an increase of power consumption up to 25%.

Control the freezer door opening: The opening of the door is responsible for at least 20 % of the electricity consumption, so open less frequently and for a shorter time diminishes the same;

1 degree rise in the refrigerator thermostat saves on average 5% of your equipment electricity consumption;

Air conditioning: The lower the temperature the higher the working time of your condenser and consequently your energy consumption;

Ironing: You should join several pieces to iron at once. This device consumes a lot of energy to warm up, but consumes less for keeping it warm;

Electric Oven: In places like bakeries, depending on production is better not to turn it off. Just like the iron, it consumes a lot of energy to warm up.
