The Adventure of the Speckled Band (by Arthur Conan Doyle) is presented by Folium Partners. There were 56 original stories written by Conan Doyle and published in The Strand magazine between 1891 and 1929. The stories are divided among five series. This is from the first series, “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes”.

In this story a young woman named Helen Stoner employs Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in foiling the villainous plans of her stepfather, Grimesby Roylott.
