الشركة العراقية للتحويل المالي أحدى الشركات المتصدرة للعمل المالي والمصرفي في العراقي وتمارس نشاطها بشكل واسع وكبير بسبب اعتماد العراق على الاستيراد بشكل رئيسي وبنسبة 95% .
حيث تم تأشير ( الشركة العراقية للتحويل المالي ) بتاريخ 22-4-2008 وفقا لأحكام المادة 21 لسنة 1997من قانون الشركات العراقي و برأسمال قدره خمسمائة مليون دينار عراقي و قد كانت في بداية التأسيس باْسم ( شركة عطاء الكوثر للتحويل المالي ) و قامت الشركة بتغيير اسمها التجاري بعد انتقال أدارتها الجديدة و بيع كافة أسهم مساهميها إلى مساهمين جدد ( من شركة عطاء الكوثر للتحويل المالي إلى الشركة العراقية للتحويل المالي/ مساهمة خاصة ) و ذلك وفق كتاب انتهاء إجراءات تغير الاسم التجاري الصادر عن دائرة تسجيل الشركات الوطنية بالعدد 3085 بتاريخ 8-2-2012 , و تم منح الشركة أجازة ممارسة العمل من قبل البنك المركزي العراقي بتاريخ 12/8/2008 بالعدد 9/3/3120 , لإجراء عمليات التحويل المالي و بيع و شراء العملة و عمليات التحويل الخارجي و الداخلي و بتاريخ 3-1-2010 تم زيادة رأسمال الشركة من خمسمائة مليون دينار إلى خمسة مليارات دينار , وفق كتاب مسجل الشركات الوطنية و المرقم 78 بتاريخ 3-1-2010 و تم تغيير مجلس أدارة الشركة و المدير المفوض و نائبه بشكلها الحالي بتاريخ 5-6-2011 .
و قد قامت الشركة بزيادة رأسمالها إلى( 15.000.000.000 ) خمسة عشر مليار دينار عراقي بتاريخ 4-7-2012 . والعمل جاري على زيادة رأس المال ليصبح 45 خمسة واربعون مليار دينار عراقي .
تمتلك الشركة حسابا لدى البنك المركزي العراقي.
الشركة عضوا في اتحاد المصارف العربية.
تحتل الشركة العراقية المركز الثاني في تنفيذ حوالات ( شركة ويسترن يونين ) بالنسبة الى العراق.
