Alternativo palco

O rock alternativo (também chamado de música alternativa, rock alternativo ou simplesmente alternativo) é um gênero de rock que surgiu da música underground independente da década de 1980 e tornou-se amplamente popular nos anos 1990 e 2000. Neste caso, a palavra "alternativa" refere-se à distinção do gênero da música rock mainstream. O significado original do termo era mais amplo, referindo-se a uma geração de músicos unificados por sua dívida coletiva com o estilo musical ou simplesmente com o independente, D.I.Y.
