Antifungal Interaction Patient APPLICATION description
Use this APP to check which medicines may interact with an antifungal drug.
This APP is produced by the Fungal Infection Trust (FIT) for patients and carers to follow possible side-effects between antifungal medicines and other prescription medicines they are taking.
A more detailed PRO version of the APP is available for healthcare professionals.
Antifungal Interactions allows you to choose whatever medicine you are taking and check it against these antifungals: itraconazole, voriconazole, posaconazole, caspofungin, amphotericin B, ambisome, fluconazole, micafungin, terbinafine, isavuconazole & anidulafungin.
The APP will tell you if there is a known interaction, it will tell you which antifungals are known to cause an interaction and it will tell you what to do about it using a simple green/yellow/red traffic light system.
If your prescription medicine is not shown in the list then there are NO reported interactions to date, November 2016.
(NOTE: where no interaction is mentioned by this APP then that signifies that none has been recorded in the medical media. It does NOT mean that there is no possible interaction for that drug. Always consult your doctor if in doubt.)
