AraBoard Player APPLICATION description
AraBoard nos permite crear, editar y usar tableros de comunicación para distintos dispositivos (ordenador, smartphone o tablet), así como para distintos sistemas operativos. Para su ejecución, AraBoard requiere que el player Adobe Air (gratuito) esté instalado en el dispositivo. Actualmente, Araboard está disponible para Windows y Android, y, en futuro próximo, para MacOs e iOs.
AraBoard se compone de dos herramientas complementarias:
- Araboard Constructor: esta herramienta se utiliza para la creación y edicion de los tableros de comunicación. mediante la colección de pictogramas Arasaac y cualquier otra imagen y audio
almacenados en el dispositivo.
- AraBoard Player: esta herramienta se utiliza para ejecutar los tableros de comunicación previamente creados en Araboard Constructor.
AraBoard se caracteriza por su sencillez de uso en todos los aspectos, ya que posee una interfaz gráfica diseñada para que cualquier persona pueda crear y editar tableros de forma intuitiva y en pocos minutos.
Con AraBoard podemos crear tableros desde una hasta treinta y dos casillas, utilizando para ello las distintas combinacioens posibles: 1 fila x 2 columnas, 2 filas x 2 columnas, 3 filas x 4 columnas, ..., 4 filas x 8 columnas. Esta característica convierte también a la herramienta en una posible alternativa para personas con discapacidad motriz y necesidades comunicativas muy básicas.
En esta nueva versión, se han implementado una serie de funcionalidades que facilitarán todavía más la elaboración de tableros personalizados. A partir de ahora, tenemos la posibilidad de tomar fotografías instantáneas, utilizando la webcam -en el caso de la versión para PC- o la cámara trasera y delantera -en el caso del smartphone o de la tableta Android-. También se ha introducido, para las dos versiones, la opción de grabar directamente nuestras voces o sonidos a través del micrófono del PC o del dispositivo Android,
Una de las características fundamentales de AraBoard es la comunicación directa a través de Internet, mediante una API desarrollada a tal efecto, con el servidor del Portal Aragonés de la Comunicación Aumentativa y Alternativa ARASAAC. Esta comunicación permite la búsqueda de cualquier pictograma contenido en la base de datos y su descarga instantánea, junto con la locución correspondiente. Una vez finalizado nuestro tablero, ya no será necesaria dicha conexión, puesto que todos los datos (pictogramas y locuciones) quedan guardados en el ordenador o en el dispositivo.

AraBoard consists of two complementary tools:
- Araboard Builder: This tool is used for creating and editing communication boards. by pictograms ARASAAC collection and any other image and audio stored on the device.
- AraBoard Player: This tool is used to run the pre-built communication boards in Araboard Builder.
AraBoard is characterized by its ease of use in all aspects as it has a graphical interface designed for anyone to create and edit boards intuitively and in a few minutes.
AraBoard can create panels with from one to thirty-two boxes, using different combinacioens possible: 1 row x 2 columns, 2 rows x 2 columns 3 rows x 4 columns, ..., 4 rows x 8 columns. This feature also makes the tool a possible alternative for people with mobility disabilities and very basic communication needs.
In this new version, we have implemented a number of features that further facilitate the development of custom boards. From now on, we are able to take snapshots using the webcam, in the case of the PC version, or the front and rear camera-in the case of smartphone or Android Tablet. Also introduced to the two versions, the option to record our voices or sounds directly through the microphone of the PC or Android device,
One of the key features of AraBoard is direct communication via the Internet, using an API developed for this purpose, with the server Aragonese Portal of Augmentative and Alternative Communication ARASAAC. This communication allows any glyph search the content database and instant download together with the corresponding utterance. Once our board, and that connection is not necessary because all data (pictograms and phrases) are stored in the computer or device.
