Army Physical Security Guide

Physical security is that part of the Army security system, based on threat analysis, concerned with procedures and physical measures designed to safeguard personnel, property, and operations; to prevent unauthorized access to equipment, facilities, materiel, and information; and to protect against espionage, terrorism, sabotage, damage, misuse, and theft.

The physical security program is the interrelationship of various components that complement each other to produce a comprehensive approach to security matters. These components include - at the minimum - the physical security plan, physical security inspections and surveys, participation in force protection working groups, and a continuing assessment of the installation’s physical security posture.
