Attorney Eddie Jenkins

Attorney Jenkins grew up in New York City and attended St. Francis High school. In 1968 he was recruited by Father John Brooks and was admitted into the College of the Holy Cross along with others who are part of the story documented by Diane Brady's Fraternity.

Attorney Jenkins played football for Holy Cross and set an NCAA record for reception of the longest pass from scrimmage - a 99 yard touchdown. In 1972 Attorney Jenkins was drafted by the Miami Dolphins and was a member of the 1972 undefeated Miami Dolphins. Attorney Jenkins finished his football career with the New England Patriots.

Following his retirement from pro-football, Attorney Jenkins entered Suffolk Law School and excelled in oral advocacy, becoming the best oral advocate in his section.

In 1978, following law school, Attorney Jenkins worked as an attorney for the Department of Labor defending the rights of coal miners and won a landmark decision.

Attorney Jenkins later became a prosecutor in Middlesex County prosecuting over 40 jury trials involving among other things rape, assault with intent to murder, armed robbery, numerous drug and gun cases, as well as motor vehicle endangerment and DUI.

After four years in the D.A.'s office, attorney Jenkins joined an insurance defense firm where he learned the art of civil practice, especially motor vehicle accidents and slip and falls.

In 1990 attorney Jenkins became a partner in Johnson & Jenkins, specializing in personal injury and criminal defense. Attorney Jenkins ran his own law firm until 2003 when he became a public servant, serving as Chairman of the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission, Director of Enforcement of the Registry of Motor Vehicles and Chief Diversity and Civil Rights Officer of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

Attorney Jenkins is an adjunct professor at Suffolk Law School where he has taught for 15 years.
