San Diego State University is one of the most popular universities within the California State University System receiving thousands of applications for Graduate Program in Computer Science Department. Prospective students have a lot of questions that they would want to be answered. It would be very helpful for them if they could get one such discussion board kind of a thing where all of their questions could be answered by seniors or the advisors. The objective of the thesis is to develop an Android mobile application for a discussion board that would help students in getting the answers to their questions quickly.
This is one such application where the students (prospective as well as current) and professors could login using their Facebook or AztecFAQ account and use it for communication. So instead of flooding the professors’ inbox or having several discussion groups created on Facebook we could just have a discussion board where all the questions could be answered and thus make life easier for students as well as the professors.
