Subscribers receive 3 videos a week covering topics such as the home environment, brain development, and motor skills from birth until your child’s 1st birthday.
Each video is designed by a team experts and translates scientific theory in guidance relevant to mothers’ and fathers’ everyday reality. Our experts come from a different educational backgrounds, methodological traditions, and countries. What unites them is the desire to transform the results of best reviewed and tested research into clear and practical tips for parents on how to support their child’s development.
The Methodology
The advice in our videos is based on 3 underlying principles:
Principle 1
All our advice is based on the best reviewed and tested research regardless of the method or field it came from. Over the past 100 years, discoveries in psychology, neuropsychology, physiology, pediatrics, pedagogy, nutrition, and many other areas of science have given us a far greater understanding of child development. We want to share those discoveries in a way that parents can apply in everyday situations.
Principle 2
Research has shown that each and every child has the same human development needs no matter where they are born. Their continuous physical, mental, and emotional development follows predictable sequences and stages - though of course the age at which each stage begins and ends depends on a wide range of factors.
Principle 3
We do not stop at the stage of understanding the child’s development. Research also shows that parents can have a significant impact on their children’s development. From the environment they create for the child, to the stimulants they provide (e.g. toys), to the parents’ own behaviour, there are many factors to consider. To support positive parenting, we provide advice (not rules!) that parents can apply in the wide range of situations they may find themselves.
In short, we are using the best research to provide parents with not just answers to their questions, but also to raise issues they may never have thought about. We seek to inspire parents with ideas on how they can support their child’s development.
