Beautiful Ornament Chandelier

STYROFOAM Brand Foam
Balls: four 3"; two 2-1/2"
Eggs: two 4"
Wreaths, 3/4" thick: one 12" x 1-1/4"; one 9" x 1-

Other Materials
Shimmering organza fabric, two pale colors, 1/4 yd
Ribbons, 1 roll each: 2-1/2" silver holiday-print;
Pale blue craft seam binding
Glittered shapes: small, large snowflakes; medium
Ultrafine glitter: antique silver; blue topaz
Silver beads, 8mm, four
Silver wire, 18-gauge
Nylon beading cord

Wooden skewers, four
Air-soluble marker

Disposable foam paintbrush
Paper towels

Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
Thick, white craft glue
Small saw or craft snips
Waxed paper

Instructions
1.Protect work surface with waxed paper. Insert skewers into two 3" foam balls and two 2-1/2" foam balls.


2.Holding skewer like a handle, use foam brush to apply thin, even coat of découpage medium to entire surface of first 3" ball. Sprinkle ball with antique silver glitter; shake off excess onto waxed paper and carefully return glitter to container. Place skewer in heavy glass or jar while ball dries.

3.Repeat Step 2 for remaining 3" ball and both 2-1/2" balls, using blue glitter for smaller balls. Place skewers in heavy glass or jar; let dry completely.

4.Cut four 1" wire lengths and bend around pencil to create hangers. Glue and insert hanger ends into top of each glittered ball. Tie 1/8"-wide silver metallic ribbon through each wire hanger to create hanging loops; leave tails long. Pin and glue two silver leaves to top of each ball.

5.Using air-soluble marker, divide each foam egg into lengthwise quarters. Score lines with sharp pencil.

6.Cut four pieces from organza fabric for each egg, cutting each piece ½” larger than one vertical egg segment. Center fabric piece over scored lines; using sharp knife or putty knife, gently push fabric edges into scored grooves. Repeat for each section till egg is covered. Glue 1/4"-wide ribbon over seams; trim excess. Let dry completely.

7.Repeat Step 4 to create hanger and hanging loop for each egg, using 1/8"-wide organza ribbon. Do not add leaves to eggs.

8.Glue and insert four pearl-head pins into center top of each egg, over ribbon ends. Glue and insert one pearl-head pin through a silver bead and into center bottom of each egg. Let dry.

9.Repeat Steps 5 through 8 for remaining 3" foam balls.

10.Wrap 12" foam wreath with silver holiday-print ribbon, completely covering surface. Pin ribbon ends to foam to secure. Repeat with seam binding, leaving space between loops; pin ends.

11.Repeat Step 10 for 9" wreath, omitting seam binding.

12.Pin ornament hangers to inside edge of 12" wreath. Refer to photo to gauge hanger lengths; ornaments should hang at different levels. Trim as needed.

13.Repeat Step 12 for glittered snowflake ornaments, hanging ornaments with nylon beading cord.

14.Cut two 1-yd. lengths of 1/4"-wide silver ribbon. Holding lengths together, tie bow at center. Pin and glue ribbon ends to inside edges of 12" wreath to create chandelier hanger.

15.Glue and insert 9" wreath inside center of 12" wreath; let dry.
