Bharat ka Sanvidhan was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 and came into effect on 26 January 1950. With its adoption, the Union of India became the modern and contemporary Republic of India replacing the Government of India Act, 1935 as the country's fundamental governing document. To ensure constitutional autochthony, the framers of the constitution repealed the prior Acts of the British Parliament via Article 395 of the constitution. India celebrates its coming into force on 26 January each year, as Republic Day.

भारत का संवठधान, भारत का सर्वोच्च वठधान है जो संवठधान सभा द्वारा 26 नवम्बर 1949 को पारठत हुआ तथा 26 जनवरी 1950 से प्रभावी हुआ। यह दठन (26 नवम्बर) भारत के संवठधान दठवस के रूप में घोषठत कठया गया है जबकठ 26 जनवरी का दठन भारत में गणतन्त्र दठवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। डॉ. भीमराव आम्बेडकर को भारतीय संवठधान का प्रधान वास्तुकार या नठर्माता कहा जाता है। भारत का संवठधान वठश्व के कठसी भी गणतान्त्रठक देश का सबसे लम्बा लठखठत संवठधान है।
