Bima Seva APPLICATION description
Life Insurance contracts need very careful handling by agents. Although Life Insurance Companies take care, the agent remains the face who takes upon himself/herself the responsibility to ensure performance by policy holders over the tenure of a policy. Few policy holders would know their contractual rights and obligations in full. The agents have to, not only inform them, but also ensure that policies are kept in force by timely payment of premium. Date lines have to be observed throughout.
An agent has to provide necessary comfort and assurance to the policy holders about performance of the contract by the Company and this has to be done on ongoing basis. After-sales-service becomes therefore a paramount necessity for every agent. 'Bima Seva' is an enabler for an agent.
The current version ( which will have considerable more facilities in time to come) enables an agent to
i) send premium due intimations;
ii) send lapse intimations ( with full dues);
iii) survival benefit intimations;
iv) calculate the bonus which gets added to a policy when bonus is declared;
Basic to customer service, the building of master records of the policy holders. In a relatively easy method, building of Customer Master, Policy Master and Family Master have been provided. To begin with, it has been provided that system takes back up on SD card. A tutorial has been provided to assist the users.
As users develop confidence in online backup , that shall also be provided.
