It is the combination of low economic power of many consumers, so that to become big and so gain bargaining power over their suppliers, achieving better prices and quality.
What will provide the local community?
Greek quality products at the best prices, and a testament to the power that gives the collectivity to financially weak.
From what is?
From ordinary citizens like us.
Is profit company?
The legal framework within which it sits (Law 1667/86 for the urban consumer cooperatives) allows the development of commercial activities in order to benefit (financial) members.
The cooperative will not work for the purpose of damage each other. But if something has a lot of profits will not do well with the prices! Small gains and immediate correction in the next year (limited distribution of surplus to members, employees, the local community), this is the basic economic principle of "livelihood coop".
What to do with agricultural cooperatives?
Agricultural cooperatives are the other side of the same coin: the power that gives the union of two social forces, producers and consumers.
