Book Of James - Offline King James Bible (KJV) APPLICATION description

The book of James is a practical application of faith. He said in James 2:26, "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

The book of James helps the believers to realize that true faith in God is evident and seen by their actions: "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?" (James 2:24-25).

The book of James contains only five chapters and it begins with the Apostle James addressing his letter to all Jewish believers scattered abroad (James 1:1). It contains some of the most encouraging sayings pertaining trials and temptations, wisdom and faith which all believers in the world could relate to. Among the famous scriptures coming from the book of James includes:

James 1:2 - "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;"

James 1:5 - "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

James 1:12 - "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him."

James 1:19: "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:"

The book of James also contains one of the famous preaching and lessons regarding the use of our tongue. It is only in this book that emphasized about controlling and taming the tongue:
“And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell." (James 3:6).

James encourages believers to use their tongue for glorifying God alone and to avoid speaking any words that will corrupt the mind and heart at all cost. James also explains about Godly wisdom versus earthly wisdom (see James 3:13-18).
The book of James is packed with instructions on how a believer could live a life of faith, wisdom and righteousness through actions.
