The Lake Almanor Basin is home to year round recreation that ranges from hiking, biking, golfing, fishing, hunting, water sports, and bird watching, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. At Books & Beyond you will find the information you need to enjoy it all: local area guidebooks, field guides, animal, nature, geologic and historical information.

The Back Room Art Gallery is home to rotating exhibits of some of the Lake Almanor Area's finest art, photography, carvings, pottery, pine needle baskets and fabric art.
