Campus Alert Pro APPLICATION description
Campus alert Pro is an instant message broadcast application designed for use on School Campuses. Prompted by insurgents attacks that have left several innocent students dead in Nigeria, the
emergency alert features of the application are intended to be used to create security awareness among students and lecturers and help call attention of security agents for prompt intervention.
Two versions are available: User Edition and Admin Edition. The Admin Edition has the additional capability of Broadcasting information on Notice Board and managing users. This is for the use of the school Authority, Lecturers and Security Personnel. The application is easy to use. By default, it is installed in Trial mode for the purpose of evaluation. This may be activated as Admin Edition upon request by School Authority. You will need to activate after 7 days to get user license. In this mode, just long-click Campus Alert button, select relevant emergency option and every user will be alerted instantly with location information. The location map will help security agents track the origin of distress call and can be led by integrated Navigation Tool. Other emergencies like fire and health are also included. Students will be able to identify the danger zone to avoid and stay safe. Please note that it is an offence to raise false alarm. Use responsibly.
Other exciting feature include Smart Note for Class which will help lecturers and students to collaborate in class without the use of the conventional black or white boards.
Helps you take your lectures and save your drawings digitally.
This application requires internet and a GPS-enable device.
Subscription is annual and requires use of a recharge card which will be obtainable from the Student Union Government or other approved retail outlets.
Although specifically made by Nigerian for Nigeria, it may be used in other Countries where found applicable.
This is the Campus Version of Community Alert project which was prompted by DIG Peter Gana when he was Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Nigeria. It is therefore released in his honour for Safety on our Campuses.
